Stories
We all have those moments. While you’re walking down the street and as you look up from your phone, out of necessity…BAM! Just by coincidence a taxi pulls up perfectly in the middle of a wide avenue, just as the sun is setting atop the crown of the most beautiful person’s head. Time slows down for a second and you capture a moment – while thinking to yourself, only in New York. “STORIES” is a show about those moments. Lucrezia Alcorn and David Nelson-Hospers capture everyday life; either in motion or through staging. They capture the sprit of the street, or the depth of the soul all with the shuttering of a lens.
This curation which was achieved by remixing the artists’ works to create six thematic stories for the viewers to experience, all while being able to honor their integrity.
David Nelson-Hospers
David Nelson-Hospers (b. 1989), is an American photographer currently based in Brooklyn, NY. This selection of work focuses exclusively on the flow of everyday life in New York City. Documenting the city streets and the people that crowd them he manages to highlight the obscure and ever-changing social landscape.

Lucrezia Alcorn
Lucrezia Alcorn (b. 1985), grew up bi-culturally between Florence, Italy and Upstate NY, and currently resides in Brooklyn, NY. Her contribution to ‘STORIES’ is a selection of intimate portraits taken in New York City over the course of the past several years. Here, images convey unspoken subtleties of the human form, which are often overlooked in the cacophony of city life—the quietude and stillness which resides within every being.
